With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tatu Endira in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastián Viera saved U21 Colombia from getting behind. Tadeo Leguizamón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Bermeo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, U21 Colombia's goalkeeper Sebastián Viera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tatu Endira. With a little luck, U21 Colombia's Sebastián Viera got control of the ball when Tatu Endira tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Gonzalo Montiel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sebastián Viera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sebastián Viera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tatu Endira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Bermeo in the 16th minute of play forced U21 Argentina's goalkeeper Tadeo Leguizamón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tatu Endira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Leguizamón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Mosquera in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Cristian Bermeo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute Tatu Endira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Viera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gambo Alexandrovitsch came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the U21 Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gambo Alexandrovitsch couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Mosquera came free, but Tadeo Leguizamón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes in the game Cayo Lombana did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Camilo Mas. A collision led to U21 Colombia getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Mario Alberto Yepes hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, U21 Argentina's Rodolfo Salvino got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Tadeo Leguizamón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gambo Alexandrovitsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. U21 Argentina's Abel Vachon was substituted for Tatu Endira. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian Bermeo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Abel Vachon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Argentina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Abel Vachon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute Abel Vachon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Viera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastián Viera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Vachon in the 67th minute of play. U21 Argentina's Damian Araoz was substituted for Silvestre Blanco. Abel Vachon took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastián Viera. Sebastián Viera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Tadeo Leguizamón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gambo Alexandrovitsch in the 82nd minute of the match. U21 Colombia made a substitution. Fernando Mor replaced Cristian Bermeo. U21 Colombia were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after U21 Argentina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Camilo Mas took the corner. After taking down the ball on U21 Colombia's corner Camilo Mas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tadeo Leguizamón quite easily take care of the ball. Abel Vachon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastián Viera having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Vachon in the 99th minute of play forced U21 Colombia's goalkeeper Sebastián Viera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Argentina fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
