In the 24th minute of the match, Robert Bucyki tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roberto Cresencio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aleksander Lukasik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Sotil in the 43rd minute of the match. Cesar Sotil struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Aleksander Lukasik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentina. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Lodowy got free with Roberto Cresencio in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cesar Sotil took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aleksander Lukasik. Aleksander Lukasik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Poland's Leszek Filipowski was substituted for Sebastian Lodowy. The Poland players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Argentina were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesar Sotil to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Argentina defense, Robert Bucyki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Cresencio. The Argentina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Cresencio should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute Robert Bucyki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Cresencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Bucyki in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Cresencio saved Argentina from getting behind. In the 61st match minute, Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateusz Lepper to maneuver through the defense. Cesar Sotil came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aleksander Lukasik could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Argentina's zone, Robert Bucyki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Cresencio came out of the goal and Robert Bucyki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Argentina's Sebastian Bilbo was substituted for Cesar Sotil. Poland made a substitution. Konrad Zdeb replaced Robert Bucyki. 82 minutes into the match, Poland's goalkeeper Aleksander Lukasik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Bilbo. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Poland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jean-Luc Picard was slow to take the kick. During this time Argentina's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Jean-Luc Picard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Poland's Aleksander Lukasik did a great save.
