Xefe Becerril made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Edwin Lana sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute Edwin Lana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xefe Becerril saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin Lana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xefe Becerril having to interfere. Ximun Marron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matteo Colomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Peru's Xefe Becerril played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Lana in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Fliz Baraña came free, but Ximun Marron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ximun Marron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeffrey Ramon's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
