With his leg Samuel Vomela managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when USA's Aldo Andrade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 22nd minute, Ned McGraw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aldo Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Samuel Vomela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldo Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Samuel Vomela made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as USA's Aldo Andrade slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Vomela. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. 41 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Barrett came free, but Samuel Vomela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Kutálek came free, but Seth Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Samuel Vomela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Seth Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikita Běhounek in the 52nd minute of play. Czech Republic's Samuel Vomela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rocco Hopkins in the 53rd minute of play. Samuel Vomela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Andrade's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Seth Lopes made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Pavel Kutálek sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Andrade in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Vomela saved Czech Republic from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Andrade in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Vomela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dennis Kinsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Vomela having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Seth Lopes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michal Adam. In the 72nd minute Michal Adam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seth Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Barrett struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Samuel Vomela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. USA made a substitution. Tracy Morse replaced Aldo Andrade. Dennis Kinsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Samuel Vomela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tracy Morse's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Denis Barrett charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Barrett the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Czech Republic booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Barrett didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, USA's Dennis Kinsey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Vomela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 93 minutes of play, USA's Tracy Morse made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Vomela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Many of Czech Republic's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Czech Republic may have spent more time on the ball, but USA were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
