U21 Colombia's Fortunato Baeza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Colombia from getting a goal against them. U21 Spain's Oxel Urquijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tercero Pandal in the 35th minute of play. Oxel Urquijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tercero Pandal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oxel Urquijo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tercero Pandal, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Fortunato Baeza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Carballeira in the 41st minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tercero Pandal was the one to do the kick off.
