Eufrasio Abraldez charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eufrasio Abraldez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. U21 Colombia's Fortunato Baeza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Tschida in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sven Dospel was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Austria's players had a chance to rest. Valiente Nogueira tried in the 18th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Fortunato Baeza a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of U21 Colombia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of U21 Austria:s goal. Sven Dospel shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tercero Pandal in the 39th minute of play forced U21 Austria's goalkeeper Timo Grasser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Tschida struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Fortunato Baeza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Austria. Remigio Toraño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Timo Grasser made a huge save. Timo Grasser made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tercero Pandal in the 69th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Colombia's Rios Molleda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Timo Grasser. That made the score 3-1 after 71 minutes of play. U21 Austria made a substitution. Bastian Keitel replaced Dennis-Sven Borgmann. Tercero Pandal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 76th playminute. Daniel Tschida charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Austria's goalkeeper Timo Grasser, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of U21 Austria booed when U21 Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eufrasio Abraldez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Bastian Keitel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Colombia's Fortunato Baeza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute of the match U21 Austria got a corner. U21 Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bastian Keitel ran over to the corner to take the kick. U21 Austria's Marc-Joel Payer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fortunato Baeza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Austria fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
