Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Mattias Pilgrim started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Garry Hay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Mubarek Al Banai could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Den Swain however easily saved by the left post. In the 12th minute Garry Hay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dawood Mandane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Den Swain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mubarek Al Banai in the 13th minute of the match. Garry Hay hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. U21 Luxembourg's Den Swain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdulatif Al Mehana in the 22nd minute of play. Den Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Msaed Baroun, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The supporters of U21 Luxembourg booed when U21 Saudi Arabia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aamir Kakoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattias Pilgrim kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Mubarek Al Banai took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Den Swain. Den Swain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. U21 Saudi Arabia's Dawood Mandane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Hislop in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to U21 Saudi Arabia getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Aamir Kakoli hit a great ball. Garry Hay hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, U21 Saudi Arabia's Msaed Baroun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Msaed Baroun got free with Den Swain in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
The wind increased when Abdulatif Al Mehana made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Mattias Pilgrim kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dawood Mandane. That made the score 2-2 in the 52 minute of play. Den Swain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mubarek Al Banai in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Edrees Al Sayer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of U21 Saudi Arabia booed when U21 Luxembourg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Pilgrim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Den Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdulatif Al Mehana, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. U21 Saudi Arabia's Dawood Mandane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Watkins in the 94th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Steven Watkins recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dawood Mandane. Steven Watkins showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Luxembourg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
