Gwidon Wykowski in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rorry McPhilip, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Maciej Wolczewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Boy, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Ireland's goalkeeper Rorry McPhilip, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute of the match U21 Poland got a corner. U21 Ireland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dobromir Nakonieczny ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Ryszard Piatek managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 34th match minute, U21 Ireland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beairtle McVictor to maneuver through the defense. Gwidon Wykowski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Rorry McPhilip when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 37 minutes into the game, Ryszard Piatek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rorry McPhilip. Ryszard Piatek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 47th minute, Bruno Boy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Boy was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Dawayne Coyle came free, but Maciej Wolczewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Ireland's goalkeeper Rorry McPhilip, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rorry McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwidon Wykowski in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryszard Piatek to maneuver through the defense. U21 Ireland's Artt Crowe was substituted for Bearnad McDecland. Gwidon Wykowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gwidon Wykowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Gwidon Wykowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rorry McPhilip was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. When U21 Poland's Gwidon Wykowski in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. U21 Poland's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
