The audience was convinced that Jonas Jurgi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Färid Balacayev was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, Argentina's goalkeeper Ernesto Guevara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Idris Abbasquliyev. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Silvestre Elorri took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Färid Balacayev to make any attempt to save it. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Azerbaijan's goalkeeper Färid Balacayev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Argentina booed when Azerbaijan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sahil Äsädli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Azerbaijan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sahil Äsädli to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Guevara came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Azerbaijan's Ayaz Baxşiyev. But to his dismay, Ayaz Baxşiyev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. In the 90th minute, Silvestre Elorri reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Färid Balacayev. The goal made the score 1-6.
