Seating: 2377, VIP seats: 206) Arturo Rodrigo made the kick off and thus started the match. When Eze Lavezzi came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the U21 Argentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eze Lavezzi couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute, Yoel Alcedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mano Manteca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Rodrigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Israel Menichetti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mano Manteca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 18th minute, Eze Lavezzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Israel Menichetti got free with Mano Manteca in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. U21 Chile's Laureano Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eze Lavezzi in the 26th minute of play. Eze Lavezzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Laureano Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's goalkeeper Mano Manteca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Israel Menichetti. After 35 minutes, Jason Pierce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Chile and the U21 Argentina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Julio Roca took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laureano Lisboa. Laureano Lisboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
U21 Argentina's Arnaldo Pitin was substituted for Amancio Neron. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Narciso Sasoin to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Menichetti came free, but Mano Manteca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yoel Alcedo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Mano Manteca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Rodrigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Rodrigo came free, but Mano Manteca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narciso Sasoin in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laureano Lisboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arturo Rodrigo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Bernardo Portusagasti notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of U21 Argentina's Mano Manteca. Mano Manteca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. U21 Chile's Laureano Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Sasoin in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Narciso Sasoin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laureano Lisboa was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. U21 Chile's Arturo Rodrigo got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Arturo Rodrigo off the ground. In the 78th minute, Arturo Rodrigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Chile's José Ignacio Baier was substituted for Rosalio Noti. After a rather tough play, U21 Chile's Arturo Rodrigo got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 81 minutes of play, U21 Argentina's Narciso Sasoin made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laureano Lisboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Narciso Sasoin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Laureano Lisboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Narciso Sasoin's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Julio Roca hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Laureano Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Sasoin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of U21 Argentina booed when U21 Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Ignacio Baier didn't get a good kick on the ball. The U21 Argentina players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
