When Anastasios Skilas came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Greece fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anastasios Skilas couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd match minute, Finland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juhani Malmivaara to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
