Andrej Žampach didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florian Polidori went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of U21 Czech Republic booed when U21 Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Parente didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Florian Polidori had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrej Žampach. U21 Czech Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Polidori was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 15 minutes into the match, U21 Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Karel Bruckner came free, but Enrico Coccia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrej Žampach stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florian Polidori's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. U21 Italy's Florian Polidori was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Miloslav Kastner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrico Coccia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karel Bruckner to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Florian Polidori notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of U21 Czech Republic's Andrej Žampach. Andrej Žampach was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Florian Polidori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 Italy's Alberto Ferraresi was substituted for Carmine Parente. U21 Italy made a substitution. Armin Suriani replaced Armin Del Bello. U21 Italy's Daniele Lyon was substituted for Florian Polidori. In the 75th minute Karel Bruckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Coccia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Alberto Ferraresi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When U21 Italy's Daniele Lyon in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Czech Republic's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th match minute, U21 Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Martano to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the game, Vladimír Sekyra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Enrico Coccia. Vladimír Sekyra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Italy fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Czech Republic had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
