Israel's Miki Calvary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javiar Eraña in the 3rd minute of play. 3 minutes into the match, Israel's goal looked a bit too open when Javiar Eraña came free, but Miki Calvary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miki Calvary showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demario Gandia, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hibai Archuleta in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miki Calvary prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Israel's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zornin Lombraña was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Colombia's Benigno Tejeido getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Patricio Burgos hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Tal Or-Hozer hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Israel defense, Hibai Archuleta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miki Calvary. The Israel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miki Calvary should have stopped the shot. Honi Weinstock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Burgos kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Israel's goal looked a bit too open when Hibai Archuleta came free, but Miki Calvary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Shabtay Miman came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Israel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shabtay Miman couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demario Gandia in the 31st minute of play forced Israel's goalkeeper Miki Calvary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Israel's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zornin Lombraña took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Benigno Tejeido heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 34 minutes into the match, Israel's goal looked a bit too open when Javiar Eraña came free, but Miki Calvary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miki Calvary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javiar Eraña in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Zornin Lombraña hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Valery Teper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Israel's supporters rose to their feet, but Valery Teper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xurde Villaren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute, Javiar Eraña ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miki Calvary was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valery Teper during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Avinoam Moskovich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Fernando Herrera charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fernando Herrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 52 minutes into the game, one of Colombia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Israel. Shabtay Miman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Xurde Villaren. 1-2. Miki Calvary came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Javiar Eraña. But to his dismay, Javiar Eraña quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 62nd minute Hibai Archuleta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miki Calvary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Avinoam Moskovich came free, but Xurde Villaren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javiar Eraña hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Xurde Villaren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Avinoam Moskovich's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The supporters of Colombia booed when Israel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kfir Antebi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th match minute, Israel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honi Weinstock to maneuver through the defense. Xurde Villaren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avinoam Moskovich in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Avinoam Moskovich cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Xurde Villaren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Colombia's Tono Alcala was substituted for Hibai Archuleta. Miki Calvary showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santikurtz Lizarazu, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Tal Or-Hozer kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Patricio Burgos hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Israel's goalkeeper Miki Calvary had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tono Alcala. Miki Calvary didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santikurtz Lizarazu went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score.
