Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Garcia Azuela kicked off to start the match. Faustino Ward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garcia Azuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Esquipula Ganchegui notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of U21 Chile's Faustino Ward. Faustino Ward was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Garcia Azuela came free, but Faustino Ward reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edorta Saez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Faustino Ward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. U21 Chile's Faustino Ward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garcia Azuela in the 21st minute of play. U21 Colombia's Wilder Guevara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save U21 Colombia from getting a goal against them. Elias Materazzi made a great header on U21 Chile's corner, it was just that U21 Colombia's Wilder Guevara managed to reach the ball for a save. U21 Chile's Faustino Ward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felim Gâte in the 25th minute of play. Eliazar Deppe in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wilder Guevara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, U21 Colombia's Wilder Guevara got control of the ball when Eliazar Deppe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aaron Larraín might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilder Guevara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aaron Larraín ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilder Guevara made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Eliazar Deppe sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of U21 Colombia booed when U21 Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Aedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After taking down the ball on U21 Chile's corner Elias Materazzi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilder Guevara quite easily take care of the ball. In the 41st minute of the match U21 Colombia got a corner. U21 Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fraco Baresi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led U21 Colombia's Fraco Baresi to fire away a dangerous shot which Faustino Ward despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Eliazar Deppe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Wilder Guevara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garcia Azuela in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustino Ward saved U21 Chile from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
U21 Colombia's Yoelvis Jabariego was substituted for Garcia Azuela. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliazar Deppe was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's Aaron Larraín sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilder Guevara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 54 played minutes U21 Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Fraco Baresi. Fraco Baresi charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fraco Baresi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, U21 Colombia's Fraco Baresi got a free kick in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, U21 Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Eliazar Deppe came free, but Wilder Guevara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Lorenzetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Helmuth Rudy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilder Guevara. U21 Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Helmuth Rudy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Helmuth Rudy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilder Guevara was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Helmuth Rudy took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilder Guevara. Wilder Guevara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Faustino Ward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yoelvis Jabariego in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Helmuth Rudy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilder Guevara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, U21 Chile's Ignacio Prieto got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U21 Chile had won after a very even match.
