Karljohan Garrn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilder Guevara having to interfere. After having played for 9 minutes, Tejs Smelnicke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tejs Smelnicke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bidari Hebia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Oberst-Wilhelm von Gyldenfeldt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 21 minutes U21 Denmark's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fraco Baresi who took care of the corner kick. The corner led U21 Colombia's Fraco Baresi to fire away a dangerous shot which Oberst-Wilhelm von Gyldenfeldt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Oberst-Wilhelm von Gyldenfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bidari Hebia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, U21 Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Karljohan Garrn came free, but Wilder Guevara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Tejs Smelnicke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilder Guevara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kay Webbe charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kay Webbe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, U21 Denmark's Kay Webbe got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 78 minutes into the match, Tejs Smelnicke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilder Guevara, 0-2. U21 Colombia's Roberto Meléndez was substituted for Bidari Hebia. U21 Colombia's Esteban Morales was substituted for Laffitte Jara. In the 87th minute Travis O'Connell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilder Guevara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tejs Smelnicke got free with Wilder Guevara in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oberst-Wilhelm von Gyldenfeldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Meléndez in the 95th minute of play.
