Romania's Emanuel Leluțiu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teo de Boer in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Vasile Buligan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romania's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasile Buligan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo de Boer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Romania's Teo de Boer threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eduard Popoacă, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 86 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Leluțiu who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Emanuel Leluțiu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teo de Boer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Vasile Buligan sped through Netherlands's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teo de Boer. Teo de Boer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Buligan, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
