The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernan Ibon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Faustino Ward didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto Fonda went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Humberto Fonda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Faustino Ward made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Argentina's zone, Andy Buzov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Lluterio came out of the goal and Andy Buzov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. U21 Argentina's Hermengildo Senon was substituted for Gregorio Raymon. Simon Lluterio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helmuth Rudy in the 68th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on U21 Chile's corner Juliano Curiñanco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Simon Lluterio quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Bilbo in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustino Ward saved U21 Chile from getting behind. Sebastian Bilbo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faustino Ward read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After 87 played minutes U21 Chile got a freekick which was hit by Andy Buzov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Ibon in the 90th minute of play forced U21 Chile's goalkeeper Faustino Ward to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Bilbo hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. U21 Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Sebastian Bilbo scored to the left of an out of position Faustino Ward, making the score, 0-4.
