Seating: 4027, VIP seats: 350) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Damiano Bontempi kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute Damiano Bontempi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heikki Kokkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atte Mustonen scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gennaro Arena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gennaro Arena made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Atte Mustonen sent off a good shot on target. Marko Salmela kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Alexander Zollino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mato Valtonen kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Finland defense, Damiano Bontempi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Heikki Kokkonen. The Finland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Heikki Kokkonen should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Damiano Bontempi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heikki Kokkonen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a rather tough play, Finland's Marko Salmela got a free kick in the 31st minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Damiano Bontempi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damiano Bontempi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Finland's Atte Mustonen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gennaro Arena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 41st minute Damiano Bontempi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heikki Kokkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alexander Zollino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maria Magdalena in the 53rd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Gennaro Arena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damiano Bontempi got free with Heikki Kokkonen in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heikki Kokkonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Zollino in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Finland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Domenico Sacchetti was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. Italy's Alex Brini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Heikki Kokkonen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alexander Zollino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heikki Kokkonen having to interfere. Italy made a substitution. Yada Daa replaced Damiano Bontempi. In the 77th minute, Italy's Alexander Zollino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Heikki Kokkonen. Heikki Kokkonen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. After some careless play in the Finland defense, Yada Daa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Heikki Kokkonen. The Finland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Heikki Kokkonen should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Italy booed when Finland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atte Mustonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Alexander Zollino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heikki Kokkonen. Finland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander Zollino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. In the 90th minute, Alexander Zollino fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Finland supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Italy's performance. The match ended with a win for Italy.
