Afonso Garcia came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jannes Van Lint could save by the left post. Jannes Van Lint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Neto in the 9th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Bill Van der Goten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bill Van der Goten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Dany-Adams Raniers came free, but Diamantino Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Sérgio Neto could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Jannes Van Lint however easily saved by the left post. Diamantino Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dany-Adams Raniers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sérgio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jannes Van Lint showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Belgium's Jannes Van Lint got control of the ball when Sérgio Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Sérgio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Neto in the 23rd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Jannes Van Lint to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Dany-Adams Raniers notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Portugal's Diamantino Amaro. Diamantino Amaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jannes Van Lint stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sérgio Neto's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Portugal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgium the free kick. After having played for 38 minutes, Dany-Adams Raniers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 92ndth minute of the game Alex Miguel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Jannes Van Lint was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jannes Van Lint showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Miguel in the 94th minute of the match. The Belgium players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
