Turi Alegria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrey Vlashev, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Slavey Mavrikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Turi Alegria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slavey Mavrikov in the 36th minute of the match. Turi Alegria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slavey Mavrikov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Turi Alegria came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Bulgaria's Slavey Mavrikov. But to his dismay, Slavey Mavrikov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

Bulgaria made a substitution. Asen Muratovski replaced Andrey Vlashev. Peru made a substitution. Vinicio Arnuero replaced Paco Cayuso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slavey Mavrikov in the 55th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Turi Alegria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Slavey Mavrikov in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Turi Alegria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Turi Alegria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Slavey Mavrikov. Tzvyatko Grebenarov kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Bulgaria's Zheko Palikrushev was substituted for Karamfil Stanislavov. Bulgaria's Malin Sharaliyski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeffrey Ramon in the 74th minute of play. Peru were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Bulgaria's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Narciso Lavandera took the corner. Joseph Reyes made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Bulgaria's Malin Sharaliyski managed to reach the ball for a save. Jeffrey Ramon might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Malin Sharaliyski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeffrey Ramon ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 80 minutes, Slavey Mavrikov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bulgaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Slavey Mavrikov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Joseph Reyes hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Bulgaria's Slavey Mavrikov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 92nd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Bulgaria's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Narciso Lavandera ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Bulgaria getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Zheko Palikrushev hit a great ball.
