Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Poland's Iwo Kasprzykowski started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Diamantino Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwo Kasprzykowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute of the match Poland got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jedrzej Bronkala ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edgar Cieliczka was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Diamantino Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Kasprzykowski in the 10th minute of play. In the 10th minute Iwo Kasprzykowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poland's attentive Zachariasz Jaszyna managed to snatch the ball when Joaquim Assunção made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. Diamantino Amaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iwo Kasprzykowski went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 16 minutes into the match, João Guerreiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Radoslaw Pietras, 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Kasprzykowski came free, but Diamantino Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Assunção made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and João Guerreiro immediately put the ball in play. Iwo Kasprzykowski scored 1-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diamantino Amaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Diamantino Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Kasprzykowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Radoslaw Pietras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Poland's Edgar Cieliczka got a free kick in the 36th minute. Poland made a substitution. Daniel Kaczeniak replaced Zygmunt Mentis. Martin Luis kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Jedrzej Bronkala struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Diamantino Amaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poland. Portugal's Diamantino Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Kasprzykowski in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
Radoslaw Pietras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Miguel went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 54th minute João Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radoslaw Pietras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Poland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nuno Anjos was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. Diamantino Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Kasprzykowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 61 played minutes Iwo Kasprzykowski rounded Portugal's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. Portugal made a substitution. Heitor Matos replaced Alex Miguel. The supporters of Portugal booed when Poland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jedrzej Bronkala didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Nuno Anjos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Radoslaw Pietras showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Poland's Olgierd Zukowski was substituted for Iwo Kasprzykowski. Portugal's Alexandre Neves was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Radoslaw Pietras in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 76 minutes into the match, João Guerreiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Radoslaw Pietras. Poland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Guerreiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Portugal's Jorge Mota was substituted for João Guerreiro. After having played for 81 minutes, Olgierd Zukowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olgierd Zukowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Radoslaw Pietras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Porto in the 83rd minute of the match. Diamantino Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Zukowski in the 86th minute of play. Diamantino Amaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olgierd Zukowski's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Poland were awarded a corner. Jedrzej Bronkala went to the cornerflag to take it. Jedrzej Bronkala made a great header on Poland's corner, it was just that Portugal's Diamantino Amaro managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 3-4 when Olgierd Zukowski sped through Portugal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diamantino Amaro. The Poland players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
