The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SK Dreigoten's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Candido Abar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Candido Abar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stephan de Koninck in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Stephan de Koninck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Lain in the 10th minute of play. Gualterio Benitez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roland Neys in the 14th minute. Stephan de Koninck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Ikatz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, SK Dreigoten's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Lain came free, but Stephan de Koninck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Andrew Vos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Benitez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualterio Benitez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Peers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Dalmacio Guter seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dalmacio Guter the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dalmacio Guter had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 25 minutes into the game, one of Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Paulo Ikatz kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Roland Neys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Honorato Marchamalo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Candido Abar got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Walery Budzynski made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ewout Valckenaers who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ewout Valckenaers almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Gualterio Benitez did a great save. Walery Budzynski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frans Peers hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Stephan de Koninck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Ladio, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Stephan de Koninck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victorino Dolfo in the 71st minute. Gualterio Benitez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Bosbeeck in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Danilo Millano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Gualterio Benitez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walery Budzynski in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Prospero Remigio got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When Victorino Dolfo fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's protests and gave Victorino Dolfo a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Dolfo. When SK Dreigoten's Nick Bosbeeck in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The tension between the SK Dreigoten and the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Freddy Blocks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 played minutes SK Dreigoten got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Blocks. Walery Budzynski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SK Dreigoten fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
