In the 7th minute Laércio Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Cempeners saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Esquirla FC's Mathijs Verschelde dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Laércio Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sérgio Brodel took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norbert Cempeners. Norbert Cempeners dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 22nd minute Sérgio Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Cempeners saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brazil Academy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Couto in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathijs Verschelde in the 28th minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Kléberson Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Etienne Hensmans hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Laércio Pernambucano made a precise shot to the right of Norbert Cempeners. Esquirla FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 42nd minute, Sérgio Brodel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brazil Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sérgio Brodel to make the kick off. Sérgio Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes Brazil Academy got a freekick which was hit by Dito Simões. In the 55th minute of the match Luke Leenpoels sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Pontes skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Norbert Cempeners got control of the ball when Sérgio Brodel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norbert Cempeners took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kobe Wintermans kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, Esquirla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luke Leenpoels to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Mathijs Verschelde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laércio Pernambucano scored 2-4 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norbert Cempeners, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Siebe Capellemans came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Esquirla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siebe Capellemans couldn't finish the play. After 96 minutes of play, Brazil Academy's Laércio Pernambucano made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Norbert Cempeners was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Brazil Academy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Esquirla FC.
