Spectators: 7545 (Terracing: 5660, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Marcelo Rinaldi made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Peñaloza's goalkeeper Mihail Hidiș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas McVurie. In the 4th minute of the match Racing Club Celtic got a corner. Peñaloza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Douglas McVurie ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 5thth minute of the game Douglas McVurie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peñaloza's Mihail Hidiș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mihail Hidiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duncan Ferguson in the 8th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Arthur McQuhirr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club Celtic's supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur McQuhirr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihail Hidiș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Craig Gordon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas McVurie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Mihail Hidiș made a huge save. 21 minutes into the game, Pascual Jago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peñaloza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club Celtic the free kick. In the 21st minute, Pascual Jago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22ndth minute of the game Duncan Ferguson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peñaloza's Mihail Hidiș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mihail Hidiș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas McVurie, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas McVurie in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihail Hidiș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas McVurie in the 30th minute of play forced Peñaloza's goalkeeper Mihail Hidiș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Craig Gordon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Lehen in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Lehen in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Craig Gordon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute Racing Club Celtic were awarded a corner. Douglas McVurie went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Racing Club Celtic's Douglas McVurie to fire away a dangerous shot which Mihail Hidiș despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Racing Club Celtic booed when Peñaloza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Landa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duncan Ferguson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47thth minute of the game Douglas McVurie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peñaloza's Mihail Hidiș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mihail Hidiș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club Celtic. Peñaloza's Mihail Hidiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Ferguson in the 68th minute of play. Craig Gordon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cirilo Landa. Mihail Hidiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Ferguson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Racing Club Celtic's Douglas McVurie got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peñaloza's Mihail Hidiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Ferguson in the 80th minute of play. Mihail Hidiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas McVurie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Rinaldi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Peñaloza's Pascual Jago got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 94th minute, Gil Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peñaloza's Mihail Hidiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Ferguson in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peñaloza walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
