Kaká Branco was a little too slow when Jonah Chille got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. 11 minutes into the game, Herbie Bönninger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kaká Branco. Herbie Bönninger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Alberto Antunes scored 2-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gottfried Frieling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Eduardo Zanette fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 22nd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. The Monstars's Kaká Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Till Schröder in the 25th minute of play. GKS Witosa were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after The Monstars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Baumeister took the corner. The corner led GKS Witosa's Joel Baumeister to fire away a dangerous shot which Kaká Branco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 37th match minute, The Monstars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gong Bang Yi to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Jonah Chille dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kaká Branco, 3-1. Wolf-Jürgen Köstler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Kaká Branco made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wolf-Jürgen Köstler to strike the kick off in the second half. When Wolf-Jürgen Köstler fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GKS Witosa's protests and gave Wolf-Jürgen Köstler a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Antunes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gottfried Frieling firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kaká Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonah Chille in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Roland Kiepski threw the ball into play from the sideline. The Monstars's Gabriel Lira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to The Monstars getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Waldir Cunha hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Joel Baumeister sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kaká Branco skillfully saved the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Jonah Chille had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaká Branco. The Monstars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonah Chille was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Bazkoare Basel kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Joel Baumeister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GKS Witosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Baumeister was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Monstars's Kaká Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonah Chille in the 75th minute of play. Wolf-Jürgen Köstler hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Ahmed Kirchner was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the game, one of GKS Witosa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. GKS Witosa:s Gottfried Frieling showed great skill when he stopped Alberto Antunes:s penalty. 84 minutes into the game, Alberto Antunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Gottfried Frieling was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to GKS Witosa getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ole Lammertz hit a great ball. After some careless play in the The Monstars defense, Jonah Chille kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaká Branco. The The Monstars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaká Branco should have stopped the shot. Gottfried Frieling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Antunes in the 98th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The GKS Witosa fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Monstars had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
