Teobaldo Terciero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Danielsson having to make a save. With a little luck, La Banda del Tinto's Thomas Danielsson got control of the ball when Teobaldo Terciero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, La Banda del Tinto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Fidencio to maneuver through the defense. Roman Hibai's late challenge caught a La Banda del Tinto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Hibai helped the player get up and apologised. Roman Hibai kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-3.

In the 52nd minute, Ildefonso Fidencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nery Pumpido was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4.
