The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stephan de Koninck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Costa in the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Roland Neys was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Dreigoten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BRUSSELMANS FC the free kick. Nick Bosbeeck's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Dennis Van Clijnenbreugel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 14th minute, Moacir Ćelasan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Dennis Van Clijnenbreugel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Vos, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. BRUSSELMANS FC's Dennis Van Clijnenbreugel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Neys in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, BRUSSELMANS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wen Xiao Rong came free, but Dennis Van Clijnenbreugel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralph Lauren's late challenge caught a SK Dreigoten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralph Lauren helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SK Dreigoten booed when BRUSSELMANS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Lauren didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, BRUSSELMANS FC's Dennis Van Clijnenbreugel got control of the ball when Nick Bosbeeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Wen Xiao Rong notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of BRUSSELMANS FC's Dennis Van Clijnenbreugel.
