After 3 minutes, Marcus Lekberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blåvitt and the Melchester Rovers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Casper Olsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Stig Holmgren however easily saved by the left post. After 7 minutes of play, Melchester Rovers's Marcus Sandström made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stig Holmgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the game, Börge Wästerberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blåvitt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melchester Rovers the free kick. Börge Wästerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Marcus Sandström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Casper Olsson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 35 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Stig Holmgren was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Stig Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Sandström in the 36th minute of the match. Ingemar Söderkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Ola Gullesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Måns Holm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Ingemar Söderkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Melchester Rovers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Melchester Rovers fully deserved thier win.
