He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of S.E.R Corujão booed when Bitelon FC - SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bitelon FC - SAF's zone, Alessandro Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fábio Arantes came out of the goal and Alessandro Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cícero Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheus Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cícero Loureiro made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Matheus Senna sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute of the match, Matheus Senna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cícero Loureiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 36th match minute, S.E.R Corujão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Santos got free with Cícero Loureiro in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Carlos de Brito's late challenge caught a Bitelon FC - SAF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Carlos de Brito helped the player get up and apologised. Luiz Fabiano Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, S.E.R Corujão's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Senna came free, but Cícero Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Sampaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E.R Corujão and the Bitelon FC - SAF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The referee ignored Bitelon FC - SAF's protests and gave Leonardo de Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Bitelon FC - SAF's Luiz Fábio Arantes got control of the ball when Luiz Fabiano Sampaio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, S.E.R Corujão's Frank Abraão got a free kick in the 76th minute. Bitelon FC - SAF's Adalberto Chaves was substituted for Gilmar de Mendonça. S.E.R Corujão's Cícero Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Chaves in the 90th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Cícero Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Senna in the 97th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.E.R Corujão walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
