Gabriel Raebert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Tallia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Gabriel Raebert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natalio Maties. Eduardo Estebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Herminio Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Leopoldo Tallia rounded Boca Juniors's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Estebe to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Boca Juniors's Segundo Bembe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herminio Martxel. That made the score 3-1 after 55 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Maties in the 59th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Gabriel Raebert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Raebert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Tallia, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Segundo Bembe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Martxel having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Tallia came free, but Gabriel Raebert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Alejandro Hug in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Boca Juniors's Americo Argoitz. 91 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Tallia came free, but Gabriel Raebert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 99th minute Anselmo Ekain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Martxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Urdinarrain fans cheered their team off the field, for while Boca Juniors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
