Emil's Teofilo Liher was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hermengildo Rioja in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gilberto Egoitz struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Hermengildo Rioja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emil. 20 minutes into the match, Emil's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Quintana came free, but Everardo Gasteiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes, Albano Roldanillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emil and the Lagunillas F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Emil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Roldanillo to maneuver through the defense. Emil's Everardo Gasteiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Emil from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Arsenio Eli got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Gilberto Egoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Agustin Quintana scored to the left of an out of position Everardo Gasteiz, making the score, 1-0. Teodosio Sandaili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Rioja having to interfere. Lucas Orlandus kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilberto Egoitz to strike the kick off in the second half. Gilberto Egoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Hermengildo Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lagunillas F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! In the 66th minute, Agustin Quintana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Arsenio Eli came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Lagunillas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arsenio Eli couldn't finish the play. Arsenio Eli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Delmiro Mano struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Everardo Gasteiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagunillas F.C.. 78 minutes into the game, Lagunillas F.C.'s Agustin Quintana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Everardo Gasteiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Eli in the 84th minute of play forced Emil's goalkeeper Everardo Gasteiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Agustin Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arsenio Eli took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Gasteiz. Everardo Gasteiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lagunillas F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Emil had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
