The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tiburcio Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Melquiades Benet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Benicio Elazar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crespo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chorrillos FC- OFF the free kick. Chorrillos FC- OFF made a substitution. Enzo Gombal replaced Jesus Guipuzkoa. In the 19th minute Tiburcio Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Benet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Elazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melquiades Benet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Santo in the 36th minute of the match. Victor Mazuste made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Silverio Taurino sent off a good shot on target. Abel Chabier struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Melquiades Benet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crespo AFC. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Chabier to make the kick off. Victor Mazuste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Taurino in the 52nd minute of play. Emilio Salamon kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Javier Gorri hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Taurino in the 62nd minute of play forced Crespo AFC's goalkeeper Victor Mazuste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Mazuste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Taurino in the 70th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Alberto Leizarraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chorrillos FC- OFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Leizarraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Chorrillos FC- OFF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Benet should have stopped the shot. Benicio Elazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Benet having to interfere. The supporters of Crespo AFC booed when Chorrillos FC- OFF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Eneas didn't get a good kick on the ball.
