With a little luck, Club Mercedes Corrientes's Lorenzo Tomi got control of the ball when Ciro Pueblo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nordicos's Amado Librado got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Daniel Thomas came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Nordicos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Thomas couldn't finish the play. If Angelo Urbasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celestino Pes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Quintana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Pueblo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Lorenzo Tomi made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Victor Quintana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Mercedes Corrientes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Angelo Urbasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Angelo Urbasa made the kick off in the second half. Angelo Urbasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Pes having to interfere. Amado Librado hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Feliberto Osoro's shot from long distance in the 63rd minute was not bad at all, but Nordicos's Celestino Pes knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Lorenzo Tomi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Pueblo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 65th minute, Isidro Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Quintana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Pes having to interfere. Sebastian Benvide got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Sebastian Benvide kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. If Angelo Urbasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celestino Pes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Urbasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The supporters of Club Mercedes Corrientes booed when Nordicos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Eguen didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Victor Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Eguen during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nordicos's Celestino Pes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Urbasa in the 92nd minute of play. Ciro Pueblo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Lorenzo Tomi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Nordicos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Mercedes Corrientes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
