The long shot by Francisco Obano in the 6th minute really tested Roberto Romildo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 9th minute, Braulio Cuarto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edward Håkansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. In the 22nd minute Ernesto Pero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Vivaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Vivaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Pero, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Ezequiel Porfirio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Vivaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Bustamente FC's Roberto Romildo got control of the ball when Esteban Quirce tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Porfirio in the 27th minute of play forced Club Atlético las 8y8's goalkeeper Jorge Vivaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Club Atlético las 8y8 defense, Ernesto Pero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Vivaldo. The Club Atlético las 8y8 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Vivaldo should have stopped the shot. After 33 minutes of play, Bustamente FC's Ezequiel Porfirio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Vivaldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ezequiel Porfirio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Quirce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Roberto Romildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Club Atlético las 8y8's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Bernard came free, but Jorge Vivaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético las 8y8's Francisco Obano got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Club Atlético las 8y8 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bustamente FC were winning 1-2.
The wind increased when Esteban Quirce made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Club Atlético las 8y8's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Pero came free, but Jorge Vivaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Raul Jakue fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 59th minute Ezequiel Porfirio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Vivaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético las 8y8's Jorge Vivaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Jakue in the 65th minute of play. After 66 played minutes Bustamente FC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Porfirio. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Quilino during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Club Atlético las 8y8 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Quilino to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Bernard sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Jorge Vivaldo threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Hermengildo Bernard this time. Jorge Vivaldo came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Bustamente FC's Ernesto Pero. But to his dismay, Ernesto Pero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After a rather tough play, Bustamente FC's Ezequiel Porfirio got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Esteban Quirce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Roberto Romildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Francisco Obano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hermengildo Bernard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Jorge Vivaldo made a huge save. 92 minutes into the game, Braulio Cuarto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bustamente FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético las 8y8 the free kick. A collision led to Bustamente FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Braulio Cuarto hit a great ball. Esteban Quirce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Romildo having to interfere. Bustamente FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
