But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorg Colpaert couldn't finish the play. After having played for 37 minutes, Pierre-Olivier Cockaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre-Olivier Cockaerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justas Mockus during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's Justas Mockus got a free kick in the 39th minute. After some careless play in the Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda defense, Mathieux Theuniers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristiaan Demeyer. The Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristiaan Demeyer should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. After 90 played minutes Selebi-Phikwe got a freekick which was hit by Remi Hoeybroeck. 92 minutes into the game, Real F.C. Ciudad-Ganda's Erwin-Alexander De Raemaekers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Willem-Alexander van Hagenborgh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The audience was convinced that Tjorven Heremans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristiaan Demeyer was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Willem-Alexander van Hagenborgh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bob Baert went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score.
