Seating: 1938, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Floris Frans started the match with the kick off. Luc Schoenmaekers scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ewout Colpaert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. BRUSSELMANS FC's Rasmus Bark managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cedrik Van Clijnenbreugel in the 8 minute of the game. 10 minutes into the game, Raf Westelinx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ewout Colpaert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute, Luc Schoenmaekers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ewout Colpaert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Herbert Maina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Floris Frans's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Lions United defense, Luc Schoenmaekers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ewout Colpaert. The Lions United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ewout Colpaert should have stopped the shot. Ewout Colpaert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raf Westelinx, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Joost Weynants charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joost Weynants the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wilfried Dewinter struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Ewout Colpaert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BRUSSELMANS FC. Luc Schoenmaekers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lions United's Ewout Colpaert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luc Schoenmaekers in the 32nd minute of play. Ewout Colpaert came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by BRUSSELMANS FC's Emanuel Mocanu. But to his dismay, Emanuel Mocanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 39th minute, Emanuel Mocanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BRUSSELMANS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Cedrik Van Clijnenbreugel made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by BRUSSELMANS FC's Rasmus Bark. Emanuel Mocanu took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ewout Colpaert. Ewout Colpaert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. When Hermenegildo Gago fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BRUSSELMANS FC's protests and gave Hermenegildo Gago a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BRUSSELMANS FC! BRUSSELMANS FC:s Herbert Maina showed great skill when he stopped Gerard Van Beringhen:s penalty. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luc Schoenmaekers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Mocanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ewout Colpaert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Mocanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Ewout Colpaert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasmus Bark in the 55th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Raf Westelinx sped through Lions United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ewout Colpaert. 59 minutes into the game, Raf Westelinx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Ewout Colpaert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Luc Schoenmaekers took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Ewout Colpaert to make any attempt to save it. 0-12 became the score in the 66th minute when Raf Westelinx elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 68 minutes, Floris Frans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lions United and the BRUSSELMANS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of BRUSSELMANS FC booed when Lions United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Floris Frans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luc Schoenmaekers succeeded in the game's 71st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-13. With a little luck, Lions United's Ewout Colpaert got control of the ball when Raf Westelinx tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute, BRUSSELMANS FC's Emanuel Mocanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ewout Colpaert. Ewout Colpaert yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-15. 85 minutes into the game, Luc Schoenmaekers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ewout Colpaert. Luc Schoenmaekers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-16. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yanis Verduyckt during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luc Schoenmaekers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ewout Colpaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luc Schoenmaekers in the 95th minute of play forced Lions United's goalkeeper Ewout Colpaert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
