The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of MILLONARIOS FC booed when SC Otten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Stachowsky didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frasquito Comas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justin Otto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frasquito Comas in the 19th minute of play. Bernd Hartenbach hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, MILLONARIOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frasquito Comas to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Bernd Hartenbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Kurt Kolbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lartaun Lerea charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lartaun Lerea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. MILLONARIOS FC's Gianluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Kolbe in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Otten's Bernd Klinkisch got a free kick in the 40th minute. Pirro Borregon might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justin Otto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pirro Borregon ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kurt Kolbe made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Paulo Maldini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gianluigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Bernd Klinkisch sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes into the game, Bernd Hartenbach recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gianluigi Buffon. Bernd Hartenbach showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Steven Stachowsky hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aydin Hofmeister in the 73rd minute of play forced MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arno von Dreusche's late challenge caught a MILLONARIOS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arno von Dreusche helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Otten's Arno von Dreusche got a free kick in the 74th minute. Lartaun Lerea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Justin Otto having to make a save. After 77 played minutes SC Otten got a freekick which was hit by Steven Stachowsky. Mauritz Jan Bromme who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Gianluigi Buffon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gianluigi Buffon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sargon King showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 84 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauritz Jan Bromme in the 88th minute of play forced MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauritz Jan Bromme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gianluigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Mauritz Jan Bromme sent off a good shot on target. The MILLONARIOS FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Otten were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
