The supporters of Templars FC booed when Airetupal EXC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tonete Romeu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nick Grech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remicio Barrenechea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Cifontes scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nick Grech, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelo Cifontes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nick Grech came out and tried to block the shot, but Angelo Cifontes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 20th minute. Angelo Cifontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Nick Grech made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Airetupal EXC's Loco Fonoll got a free kick in the 24th minute. When the match had been going on for 25 minutes Trevor Zahra shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Jakub Bielecki when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Airetupal EXC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Trevor Zahra was slow to take the kick. During this time Templars FC's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Robert Alessandro to score against Jakub Bielecki in Airetupal EXC's goal. 2-1 after 26 minutes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Grech Cumbo in the 29th minute of play forced Airetupal EXC's goalkeeper Jakub Bielecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jakub Bielecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trevor Zahra in the 32nd minute of play. Nick Grech made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Cifontes in the 43rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nick Grech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Cifontes in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tonete Romeu in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nick Grech saved Templars FC from getting behind. Trevor Zahra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Jakub Bielecki made a huge save. Tonete Romeu charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tonete Romeu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tonete Romeu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Julen Hevia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Andrea Montebello hit a great ball. Angelo Cifontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nick Grech read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After 79 minutes, Neil Debono mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Templars FC and the Airetupal EXC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Templars FC's Trevor Zahra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jakub Bielecki. That made the score 2-2 after 95 minutes of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
