Spectators: 5010 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vincente Sánchez took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Real Cartagena's Vincente Sánchez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edilberto Quiroz. Edilberto Quiroz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 6th minute, Vincente Sánchez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edilberto Quiroz. The goal made the score 2-0. A collision led to Real Cartagena getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Lekubegi Almirall hit a great ball. Real Cartagena's Alfredo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sansone Junyent in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Raphael Jaquinot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Cartagena and the Independiente SANTA FE players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Independiente SANTA FE booed when Real Cartagena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Jaquinot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Independiente SANTA FE's Lino Buye managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Silvestre Liendo in the 18 minute of the game. 21 minutes into the game, Real Cartagena's Vincente Sánchez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edilberto Quiroz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. A collision led to Real Cartagena getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Vincente Sánchez hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Constantin Istrătescu in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Independiente SANTA FE's Edilberto Quiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente SANTA FE from getting a goal against them. Real Cartagena's Vincente Sánchez was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Vincente Sánchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lekubegi Almirall in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edilberto Quiroz saved Independiente SANTA FE from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Independiente SANTA FE's Ekaitz Ampuero got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sansone Junyent was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Silvestre Liendo in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Independiente SANTA FE's Lino Buye. 59 minutes into the game, Real Cartagena's Vincente Sánchez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edilberto Quiroz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After 61 played minutes Real Cartagena got a freekick which was hit by Inko Maujo. Edilberto Quiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincente Sánchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Independiente SANTA FE's Lino Buye quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Silvestre Liendo, made in the 74th minute of the game. In the 76th minute, Vincente Sánchez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvestre Liendo made in the 89th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Constantin Istrătescu immediately put the ball in play. The Real Cartagena fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Real Cartagena's Constantin Istrătescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Cartagena fully deserved thier win.
