Rajmond Visch's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Firme Ruidiez firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 23rd minute Mas que Vencedores 1988 were awarded a corner. Severino Campelo went to the cornerflag to take it. 26 minutes into the game, Band On The Run!'s Mané Novaes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eneko Alvarez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The supporters of Band On The Run! booed when Mas que Vencedores 1988 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Firme Ruidiez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Lång, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Mendoza struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Eneko Alvarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Band On The Run!. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Mendoza got free with Eneko Alvarez in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ceferino Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Mas que Vencedores 1988's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Novaes came free, but Eneko Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
