Sol Urquiza made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Paz Barra sent off a good shot on target. Casado Villalba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernando Herreros went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernando Herreros was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, CLUB NACIONAL DE TALA's goal looked a bit too open when Loreto Redondo came free, but Sol Urquiza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sol Urquiza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dubardo Banda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hernando Herreros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Achar's zone, Marcelo Cardarda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casado Villalba came out of the goal and Marcelo Cardarda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernando Herreros struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Casado Villalba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CLUB NACIONAL DE TALA. The Achar fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CLUB NACIONAL DE TALA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
