Rogelio Rolado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Fernanco having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Cayetano Pereyra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The POLI FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Macario in the 14th minute of play forced Atlanta's goalkeeper Wilfredo Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, POLI FC's Cayetano Pereyra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfredo Fernanco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 22nd minute, Inocencio Iigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The POLI FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Wilfredo Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Macario in the 25th minute of the match. Abelardo Oxarra kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Benjamin Macario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfredo Fernanco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. POLI FC's Biagio Picciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save POLI FC from getting a goal against them. Cayetano Pereyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Wilfredo Fernanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Rogelio Rolado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Cayetano Pereyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, POLI FC's Rogelio Rolado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 46thth minute of the game Benjamin Macario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlanta's Wilfredo Fernanco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogelio Rolado made a kick off. Paulo Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Wilfredo Fernanco made a huge save. 55 minutes into the game, Benjamin Macario cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Wilfredo Fernanco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When POLI FC's Cayetano Pereyra in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlanta's goalie prevented a goal. Inocencio Iigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Wilfredo Fernanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Israel Alvarez. If Rogelio Rolado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Atlanta's goalkeeper Wilfredo Fernanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Rolado. Wilfredo Fernanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Pereyra in the 95th minute of play. Cayetano Pereyra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Fernanco having to interfere. When the match was over POLI FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlanta throughout the match.
