But to his dismay, Francisco Maria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Videl during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Denis Videl kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes Los Dragones F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Gitano. Isaias Cordairo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Maria in the 31st minute of play. Isaias Cordairo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Uzuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Los Dragones F. C. fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Los Dragones F. C.'s Tiburcio Rojas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Humberto Gitano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Serafin Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Lop didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tiburcio Rojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Maria came free, but Isaias Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
