With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guillermo Guillem in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Herrera saved Depor La Plata from getting behind. Guido Vadalá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Guaberto Herrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Guillermo Guillem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Ricart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Depor La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Raebert to maneuver through the defense. Neil Pearl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Ricart, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When the final whistle sounded Los Triperos left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Depor La Plata.
