Jeronimo Vergaray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Anacleto Iruinea made a huge save. Campbell FC's Arnaldo Veremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Boni in the 8th minute of play. When Diego Walme came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the San Cristobal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Walme couldn't finish the play. Romeo Boni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Arnaldo Veremundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Walme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Timoteo Foro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Anacleto Iruinea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Foro in the 33rd minute of play forced San Cristobal FC's goalkeeper Anacleto Iruinea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alonzo Gaur kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Jeronimo Vergaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timoteo Foro might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anacleto Iruinea. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timoteo Foro to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Roldanillo in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anacleto Iruinea saved San Cristobal FC from getting behind.
