Severiano Olando spun around in front of the goal 17 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Lagunillas F.C.'s goal. In the 18th minute Amadeo Ticho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Icaño AFC's Severiano Olando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermengildo Rioja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustin Quintana got free with Silverio Peio in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Ticho in the 25th minute of play forced Icaño AFC's goalkeeper Silverio Peio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silverio Peio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Ticho in the 41st minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Erasmo Natal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icaño AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erasmo Natal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Severiano Olando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Icaño AFC booed when Lagunillas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Raymond didn't get a good kick on the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amadeo Ticho made a kick off. If Amadeo Ticho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Icaño AFC's goalkeeper Silverio Peio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amadeo Ticho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Peio having to interfere. Erasmo Natal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Hermengildo Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Icaño AFC's Silverio Peio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Ticho in the 90th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Agustin Quintana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Severiano Olando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lagunillas F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Icaño AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
