With an all-out effort, Squidens IF's Isac Sundberg threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Göran Hääger, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 7 minutes into the match, Squidens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Axelsson came free, but Albin Odeen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Squidens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Niclas Örtlund came free, but Albin Odeen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 10 minutes, Alexander Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Isac Sundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Hääger, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Niclas Örtlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Joar Majman fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Squidens IF's protests and gave Joar Majman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tanumshede FF booed when Squidens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joar Majman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joar Majman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Isac Sundberg made a huge save. Albin Odeen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Axelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 44 minutes of play, Tanumshede FF's Ingmar Melin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albin Odeen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingmar Melin made a kick off. Joar Majman hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Isac Sundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joar Majman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Alexander Axelsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tanumshede FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Squidens IF's zone, Ingmar Melin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albin Odeen came out of the goal and Ingmar Melin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingmar Melin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Albin Odeen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tanumshede FF's Isac Sundberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Hääger in the 83rd minute of play. Alexander Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albin Odeen having to interfere.
