With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Sävström in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albin Odeen saved Squidens IF from getting behind. If Göran Hääger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Göran Hääger in the 9th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Roy Björkman kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The supporters of Squidens IF booed when Sundsvall U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell-Arne Backman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albin Odeen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Squidens IF's goalkeeper Albin Odeen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikael Stenström. Mikael Stenström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vidar Törnkvist's shot from long distance in the 99th minute was not bad at all, but Squidens IF's Albin Odeen knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sundsvall U21 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
