The supporters of IFÖ Bromölla booed when Melchester Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Byström didn't get a good kick on the ball. IFÖ Bromölla were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Melchester Rovers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sonny Vacker took the corner. After taking down the ball on IFÖ Bromölla's corner Sebastian Björkkvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patrick Samuelsson quite easily take care of the ball. Thomas Blomquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. IFÖ Bromölla's Celedonio Eguen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Sandwall in the 14th minute of play. Patrick Samuelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Clementsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the IFÖ Bromölla defense, Örjan Kvick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celedonio Eguen. The IFÖ Bromölla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celedonio Eguen should have stopped the shot. Celedonio Eguen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Roger Sandwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Grassi in the 27th minute of play forced Melchester Rovers's goalkeeper Patrick Samuelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Catarino Figueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Samuelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Catarino Figueira kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Arturo Grassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Guerrero hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Patrick Samuelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sonny Vacker in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Thomas Blomquist took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Patrick Samuelsson to make any attempt to save it. IFÖ Bromölla's Celedonio Eguen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Johnsson in the 73rd minute of play. Celedonio Eguen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Johnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Celedonio Eguen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimmy Johnsson's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Sandwall in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celedonio Eguen saved IFÖ Bromölla from getting behind. Patrick Samuelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Grassi in the 85th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Giuseppe Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celedonio Eguen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Johnsson in the 95th minute of the match. Catarino Figueira kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute Jimmy Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Eguen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Jimmy Johnsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Melchester Rovers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the IFÖ Bromölla players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Melchester Rovers.
