Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) After a rather tough play, Melchester Rovers's Mikael Meck got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Avantgarde's Tomas Vollander got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 14 minutes, Hans Svensson made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Avantgarde's Marko Kilman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Roger Sandwall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marko Kilman having to make a save. When Borut Špiček came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Avantgarde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Borut Špiček couldn't finish the play. Roger Sandwall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marko Kilman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Melchester Rovers booed when Avantgarde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Vollander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th match minute, Melchester Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Ekenberg to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Samuelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mårten Julin in the 28th minute of the match. Melchester Rovers's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Melchester Rovers fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Melchester Rovers's Hans Svensson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jörgen Byström kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Linus Granberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Samuelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mårten Julin, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mårten Julin made the kick off in the second half. Patrick Samuelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Borut Špiček in the 50th minute. Mårten Julin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Avantgarde getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Mårten Julin hit a great ball.
